Local Business Spotlight - Buying Local is Helping our Communities Rebound!

Hi Everyone! We love highlighting local businesses especially when we get to work together with some of the most awesome entrepreneurs in the province. In this blog post we are delighted to share a new Indigena retailer and fellow baygirl boss, Tammy Wrice-Paetkau of Studio Boutique. She is a true innovator, mover and shaker.

This is what Tammy had to say about her biz "Come to 195 Water Street, downtown Carbonear and experience our little boutique with big personality as Kat and Courtney await to assist you in your fashion choices. Featuring designer shoes, clothing, local products and accessories at reasonable pricing. Hope to see you soon!"

Studio Boutique will soon open in Ontario! You go girl! On top of home schooling her 3 children she is remotely managing her business in Ontario with her fantastic staff (enter Kat, Kimberley Trickett, owner of Baygirls Clothing Company, sales staff and lifelong friend) and Courtney, both are fantastic helping you choose those special items to enhance your personal style. I just purchased a gorgeous necklace there from MoonJelly Handcrafted Gifts, a local nature inspired jewellery maker from Dunville. Her instagram feed is so beautiful. I especially loved that her kids are helping her forage for the botanicals and sea glass. You can find the shop on www.facebook.com/moonjellygifts/ and on Instagram @moonjellyhandcraftedgifts

Tammy carries many other local makers products, Kat's line "Baygirls"is a best seller, which we adore. You can check out Studio Boutique online at www.studioboutique.net or on FB or Instagram @studioboutique195

You can check out Kat's cool tees at: www.baygirlsclothingcompany.com this is going to be my next "To Me From Me Love Me" gift.
If you want to experience a new home shopping experience check out their Sip and Shop events on Wednesday evenings on FB.
Supporting local businesses that make things from scratch here on the island and in the Big Land is close to our heart and supporting retailers who tirelessly promote our local makers is so important especially in rural areas. When you support local, and locally run businesses you are boosting our economy and people's confidence that we can offer world class products with our famous hospitality.
Have a great weekend and remember to Shop Local!
