  1. Wash your cosmetic brushes weekly with lemon and rosehip shampoo to prevent breakouts. The shampoo is gentle on the bristles of the brushes, yet effective at cleaning the old makeup.
  2. Reduce the amount of caffeine you drink; it dehydrates your skin. Your skin is the largest organ in your body but is the last to receive water. Add more water or coconut water to your diet.
  3. Reduce your sugar intake; it causes some skin types to get blotchy and warm.
  4. Eat whole foods the way they came from nature, not processed or canned. The salt and other chemicals in processed foods wreak havoc on the skin. All the preservatives and nastiness end up making skin cells their home. As you lose weight this debris is the hardest to remove from the body.
  5. Rest and be thankful. Sleep is good, don't fight it. It is then that the body repairs itself. Consider it like a car tune up, without it cars break down and so do sleep deprived people.
