Juice recipe: the orange zinger!

Juice91You know sometimes you wake up in the morning and you just feel so tired and rundown, maybe a little hungover, flu like or overly full from the night before? This juice is your cure for that feeling! Trust me it really works. The whole thing is just so incredibly refreshing, and you really do feel re-energized after each sip! After last week’s green juice recipe I decided to switch things up a bit this week. This orange carrot ginger juice is a potent mix of anti-inflammatory, cancer preventing, beautifying nutrients.

Makes one large glass:

- 2 oranges, peeled

- 6 carrots

- 1/2 a lemon

- 1-inch piece of ginger, peeled

Optional: two handfuls of kale (the colour won’t be pretty but you’ll feel amazing)

Push all ingredients through the juicer – you’ll get more goodness from the kale if you juice it at the same time as the oranges or carrots as they’re so juicy!

Sip, cleanse and enjoy!

juiceingredients Here’s what just one glass will getcha: Orange – Vitamins C, A, B6, thiamine, folate, calcium, magnesium, potassium, antioxidants. Lemon – Vitamin C and antioxidants. Ginger – Antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. Carrot – Vitamins A and K, B6, C and E, antioxidants, folate, thiamine, niacin, potassium and manganese. Kale (optional) – Fiber, iron, magnesium, calcium, beta-carotene, anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acid, antioxidants, Vitamins A, C, and K -- and sulphur-containing phytonutrients.
